Who is Hathor?
Hathor was one of the high pantheon of Egyptian gods. She represented beauty, music, dance, joy, love, sexuality, and maternal care. As such, she serves as a perfect representation of the creative arts.
She was often associated with mirrors, which, in the time of ancient Egypt, were made of polished metal. Our logo is based on a common mirror design of the time that incorporated Hathor’s face in the handle, such as these two from the Met collection.
